Prices exclude UK VAT and are valid for 7 days from the date they are first sent to the Customer. Prices do not include any travel, accommodation or expenses which delegates may incur in attending. GIE Consultants Ltd reserve the right to change prices at any time at their discretion.
All VAT chargeable purchases will be charged using UK VAT rate which is currently 20% for all services carried out in the UK and for all products where VAT is applicable.
Course fees are payable in full 4 weeks before the course start date. Late payments will be subject to a late payment charge at the rate of 5% over the Bank of England base rate. Payments can be made securely by major credit and debit cards.
Invoices for purchase orders must be paid before course start date. Otherwise, GIE Consultants Ltd reserves the right to refuse the delegate(s) entry to the course. Unpaid invoices in this case will remain payable in full. We may withhold exam results and certificates until payments have been fully paid. Cancellation fees are payable from invoice date. The Terms in this agreement override any other terms of business or purchase conditions put forward by the Customer.
By paying course fees by any payment means in part or in full, the delegate agrees to the terms and conditions regardless of them having signed a booking form or not. Purchase orders are considered confirmation of order and are bound by the same terms and conditions, including terms regarding rescheduling and cancellation.
Refunds may take up to 30 working days to be processed. Refunds will be processed in GBP using the same payment method that the original payment was made.
PROJECT, PROGRAMME AND PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT PUBLIC COURSES
GIE Consultants Ltd, provides IT training at various locations. For each course we will use a suitable venue and provide an APMG approved trainer with APMG approved course materials. Pre-course reading materials will be supplied to delegates prior to the event.
All materials supplied remain the property of GIE Consultants Ltd until payment is received in full. All materials supplied in any format are copyright protected. Copying, transferring or storing materials, by any means, may only be performed with the express written permission from GIE Consultants Ltd Directors.
Courses may also be delivered by a Training Partner of GIE Consultants Ltd.

Public Course Cancellation Charges:
Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be made in writing or by e-mail to GIE Consultants Course Administrator.
From the date of acknowledgement by GIE Consultants Ltd, the cancellation/rescheduling charges are:
More than 28 days prior to the course start date: No Charge.
14-28 days prior to the course start date: 50% of the course cost.
7-14 days prior to the course start date: 100% of the course cost.
Within 7 days of the course start date: 100% of the course cost.
More than 28 days prior to the course start date: No Charge.
14-28 days prior to the course start date: 20% of the course cost.
7-14 days prior to the course start date: 50% of the course cost.
Within 7 days of the course start date: 100% of the course cost.
Non-attendance for any reason will be considered as cancellation without notice, and as such no refunds will be offered.
E-learning products expire after a certain period from the date of purchase. This period is mentioned in each product. Following this period, a renewed/replacement product may be purchased. Please contact us for a quote for extending the use of e-learning products.
Online course fees and logon credentials are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable. GIE Consultants reserve the right to restrict access based on operational requirements to ensure fair access to all learners.
Delegates are responsible for purchasing any new/revised materials that may be required as a result of changes implemented by the APMG. Please refer to the APM Group Site for updated information on any impending changes which may affect your course. By activating the software or logging onto the e-learning programme, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of our Product License Agreement.
No refunds will be offered for online courses.
Exams taken at an APMG Exam Centre or British Council Office must be booked a minimum of 10 working days in advance of the required exam day. All bookings are subject to availability. An additional fee of £50 plus UK VAT is payable for exams at a British Council Office. Online exams must be booked a minimum of 5 working days in advance of the required exam date.
Exams at GIE Consultants Ltd / APMG Exam Centre or British Council Office
All exam bookings must be made a minimum of 10 working days prior to the required exam date and are subject to availability.
The following terms and conditions must be adhered to for all exams; failure to do so could result in the exam result being revoked and a new exam fee payable.
The candidate must arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior the exam start time
The candidate must bring a photo ID in the form of a passport, photo driving license or national photo ID card otherwise he/she will not be permitted to sit the examination and a new exam fee will be payable
A printed copy of the exam booking confirmation and exam voucher must be brought on the day of the examination. Failure to do so may result in refused entry and a new exam fee will be payable.
A pencil and eraser for completing the exam should be brought to the examination venue.
Calculators are not required
For the Practitioner examination, the candidate’s own annotated manual is permitted during the exam. NO additional support material is permitted; this includes post it notes (other than for the tabulation of the sections of the manual), or stapled sheets.
No late arrivals will be allowed into the exam room. All candidates are responsible for arriving at the exam on time and no excuses will be permitted. A further exam fee will be payable for a new exam if a candidate is late.
A candidate is allowed to reschedule the exam date for a fee of £80 plus UK VAT providing the change is made more than 10 working days in advance of the booked exam date.
Exam bookings cannot be rescheduled within 10 working days of the booked exam date. A new exam fee will be payable for a new exam booking.
The exam fee will not be refunded if the candidate wishes to cancel the booking.
Exams cannot be transferred or re-sold to another party.
Exams taken online using Proctor Now will incur a fee of £15 plus UK VAT. Any changes to exam dates must be made within the relevant validity period applicable to the product purchased. Changes to dates of booked online exam will incur an administration fee of £30 plus UK VAT.
A maximum of three changes are permitted. If further changes are required, or the relevant validity period exceeded, a new exam fee will be payable at 100% of the published price.
If using the Proctor Now service, it is mandatory that you read and adhere to the information detailed within APMG’s Candidate Guidance, User Guidance and Terms and Conditions. By booking an online exam it is understood that you agree to the Terms and Conditions relating to this service. Appeals for any exams results which are revoked by APM Group will not be processed by GIE Consultants Ltd if the exam rules have been breached.
For the duration of the exam, footage, including sound, will be recorded by the webcam/microphone. This footage will be reviewed by APMG post-exam to ensure the exam rules have been adhered to. Failure to comply with the exam rules may lead to the exam result being voided. The exam rules stipulate that:
The candidate must present a photo identification to the webcam when prompted, as detailed in the user guide;
A 360° scan of the exam room must be performed with the webcam when prompted, covering the surface of the desk, under the desk, the walls, ceiling and floor areas;
The candidate must ensure a clean desk, with no reference materials available;
The webcam must be above the screen/monitor, pointing at the face of the candidate for the duration of the exam;
The candidate must be alone in a quiet room. Televisions, radios, telephones, headsets or any other electronic devices are prohibited;
The candidate must not communicate with any other person by any means for the duration of the examination.
Practitioner Exams Prerequisites:
Proceeding to Practitioner will only be permitted if delegates have satisfactorily attended and completed the full Foundation course and passed the Foundation exam. Refunds are not provided if delegates do not continue to Practitioner and further charges may be incurred if additional training is required.
PROMOTIONAL VOUCHERS – INTRODUCE A FRIEND
Get High Street Vouchers for introducing a friend or a colleague directly to GIE Consultants Ltd if they purchase a Public Course or an e-learning Package at the full retail price. These vouchers are not offered on any discounted or special offer courses, exam bookings or bookings made through a 3rd party supplier/broker.
- £50 High Street Vouchers will be given for Public Course Place bookings.
- £25 High Street Vouchers will be given for e-learning bookings.
Vouchers will be sent once the full payment has been received and the course completed.
Where Delegates are required to be trained on a Client’s site, the Client may organise the event using the venue of their choice. The venue should be equipped with tables and chairs which are arranged ‘u-shaped’ for training and ‘classroom-style’ for the examinations. The room should be equipped with an A1 flip-chart and/or white-board. Refreshments (water/tea/coffee) and washroom facilities should be available nearby.
It is the Client’s responsibility to provide all facilities, equipment and set up required for the trainer to deliver the training.
GIE Consultants Ltd will deliver the course content as described in the quotation.
GIE Consultants Ltd will provide pre-course reading materials prior to the commencement of the course. These will be sent to the Client’s Course Coordinator when confirmation of a booking and payment/purchase order have been received.
Details of Delegates attending a course must be forwarded to GIE Consultants Ltd at least 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Failure to do so could lead to the Delegates not being registered with APMG for Examinations.
GIE Consultants Ltd reserve the right to cancel or discontinue the course if, in the Trainer’s opinion, the venue, equipment, or conditions are unsuitable.
All material supplied remains the property of GIE Consultants Ltd until payment has been received in full. Copyright exists on all materials supplied in any format. Copying, transferring or storing material by whatever means may only be performed with the express written permission of the Directors of GIE Consultants Ltd.
Cancellation and Course Transfer Charges (in-house courses)
Cancellation or Course Transfer Requests must be made, either in writing or by e-mail to the GIE Consultants Course Administrator. From the date of acknowledgement by GIE Consultants Ltd, the cancellation and transfer charges are:
More than 6 weeks’ notice prior to the course start date: Any expenses incurred at cost
4-6 weeks’ prior to the course start date: 50% of the course cost
Within 4 weeks’ of the course start date: 100% of the full course cost
The cost of all course materials supplied will be charged. Ownership of materials supplied will pass to the Client following payment of charges.
All certificates are sent by recorded delivery within the UK or airmail for overseas deliveries. Please ensure that GIE Consultants Ltd have the correct address when the exam is booked and notify any changes immediately. Any certificates that are returned “uncollected” or “unable to deliver” or “incorrect address” will not be resent until a payment of £10 plus VAT has been paid to cover the additional postage, packaging and administration costs. Replacement certificates are charged at £30 plus UK VAT.
CHANGES TO COURSES
GIE Consultants Ltd reserves the right to change any part of its published courses. Contents of course timetables are intended for general guidance only. Any omissions or typographical errors on our website, in sales literature, administrative documentation, course materials, invoice or other document may be corrected without any liability on the part of GIE Consultants Ltd.
The Location and date of the course will be advised upon booking. GIE Consultants Ltd reserve the right to change the location and will advise the customer as soon as the change is known. GIE Consultants Ltd will not be liable for expenses due to cancellation or any other changes to venue or programme. We also reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course and will advise the customer as soon as the change is known. We will use all reasonable actions to avoid changes of this nature. For any courses which are rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as trainer sickness/course low fill, every effort will be made to provide a replacement trainer or to reschedule the course and we will offer delegates as many options as possible to complete their training programme. For these unforeseen circumstances refunds might only be offered at our discretion.
Copyright and all intellectual property rights for all Course Materials shall remain the property of GIE Consultants Ltd. The Customer agrees not to reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, or hire any course materials (in whole or in part) and not to use such materials except for the purposes of post course reference.
The Customer is not permitted to record or photograph in any way during the course without prior written consent of GIE Consultants Ltd Directors. Failure to comply with this requirement will be considered a direct breach of our terms of business and would be taken very seriously.
WARRANTY AND LIABILITY
Personal belongings and items belonging to or in the possession of the Customer or Delegate brought on to GIE Consultants Ltd training courses/exam sessions are the sole responsibility of the owner. GIE Consultants Ltd accepts no responsibility for any theft or damage to personal belongings at training courses or exam sessions.
GIE Consultants Ltd liability for loss and damage shall be limited to a claim for damages. The maximum aggregate liability will be the charges for the course out of which the loss or damage has arisen. GIE Consultants Ltd will not accept liability for death or personal injury. GIE Consultants Ltd will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential loss (including loss of anticipated profit or data), howsoever arising, even if it has been advised of such potential loss. GIE Consultants Ltd will not be responsible for any damage resulting from any computer viruses arising from software installed on customer computer systems.
GIE Consultants Ltd will not be in breach of this contract if the delivery of services is cancelled, delayed or reduced due to any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to war, hostilities, government sanction, labour dispute, strike, sickness, interruption of electricity or telephony service, Acts of God (including but not limited to, fire, flood, earthquake, storm, snow, hurricane or other natural disaster). Delegates must ensure that they can attend the training courses which they are scheduled to attend.
At GIE Consultants Ltd, we are committed to keeping your privacy. We do not capture and store any personal information about individuals who visit our website, unless they choose to give us their details by opting in to our mailing list, via email, or by enquiring about or booking any of our services.
Personal information you voluntarily give us may be used exclusively by GIE Consultants Ltd for marketing research, and to provide you with information about our products and services. This will include e-mail messages about events and new services, newsletter and other promotional information we think you may be interested in.
We do not pass any of your personal data to outside organisations and/or individuals, except with your express consent. IP addresses may be seen by GIE Consultants Ltd but this information is anonymous and will not disclose your identity.
We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time. If we do so, we will publish the change on our homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
